Black Jack, No Cross
DOB: August 16, 2005
MDR #45470

Sire:  Braying Pines B.J.'s ZZ Top, 32" Black, No Cross
Grand Sire:  Braying Pines Applejack's Allegre, 30.5" Gray-Dun
Grand Dam:  Braying Pine's Jenna, 30.75" Gray & White Spotted

Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Miss Diva, 34" Black w/Cross
Grand Sire:  Double D Aces High, 32" Black w/Cross
      Grand Dam:  Merry-Go Round's Miss Addie, 34" Gray-Dun

This fine young jack is maturing into a beautiful future herdsire. He is compact, developing substantial bone like his sire, ZZ Top. He has a great black pedigree including Dewey Meadows, LUA and Circle C, plus some out of ZZ that is relatively unknown. As a yearling he measures just under 30". I do not expect him to exceed 32", probably around 31 1/2 at the most. His color is a rich, deep, vibrant black with light points. He has no cross or stripe, and is very sweet and gentle. I look forward to his first foals in future years.

He got his name, because his dam was due to foal on Aug 4, 05. That day came and went, and she didn't even look close. I remembered that Carbon Black had got in with the girls on Sept 4, 2004 (I had noted it in my book, in case of any surprises). None of the jenny's appeared the least bit interested in him, and I put him back where he belonged.

Well, when Daddy's dam, Diva, foaled almost two weeks overdue, and he was so small (I didn't measure him, it was obvious) I began to wonder if maybe something had went on with Diva. He was either 2 weeks late if ZZ was the sire, or 2 weeks early if Carbon was the sire. So, I had them DNA tested. Turns out ZZ was the sire, and she carried him 12 1/2 months. All while we waited for the test results, we kept saying "Who's Your Daddy", hence the name.

Grand Sire:  Braying Pines Applejack's Allegre, 30.5" Gray-Dun
Grand Dam:  Braying Pine's Jenna, 30.75" Gray & White Spotted

Grand Sire:  Merry-Go-Round's Mr. Perlino, 34.5" Ivory *BEW
Grand Dam:  Merry-Go Round's Nadine, 34" Dark Brown

Here is a fine young man that would make a great show or driving prospect. Should mature to around 33-34". His full brother is Black Drop. He has a visible cross, unlike his brother, Black Drop, who has none. Black Draft has a sweet nature, is current on all shots, and is microchipped. Black Draft is for sale! Got bone? Well Girlfriend does. Here’s a premium black, drafty jennet with a good black pedigree. Her dam, Miss Addie, is a FULL sister to Mr. Perlino (cream gene). Girlfriend is one of the finest foals I’ve had, a treasure to any breeding program.

Grand Dam:  Feather Ridge's Flappers, 34" Dark Brown

Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Bimbee, 34" Dark Brown
Grand Sire:  Merry-Go-Round's Mr. Perlino, 34.5" Ivory *BEW
Grand Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Esra, 34.25" Dark Brown

Goldilock's is the darkest ivory I have ever had born here. She is a black based ivory. Her FULL brother, born in 06, is black. Everyone who visits the farm, zeros in on her. She has a distinct "yellow" color in her summer coat. . I am looking forward to what she may be able to produce in future years.

Grand Sire:  Merry-Go-Round's Mr. Perlino, 34.5" Ivory *BEW
Grand Dam:  Feather Ridge's Flappers, 34" Dark Brown

Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Hershelle, 33" Dark Brown
Grand Sire:  Merry-Go-Round's Mr. Perlino, 34.5" Ivory *BEW

Grand Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Mimi, 35" Brown

Contessa and Goldilocks both have the same sire, Sir Booberry Creme, and their dams are half sisters. I am keeping them both to add to the breeding program in the future. Contessa has black, ivory and sorrel in her genetics. She is a nice jennet and will definately continue to be an asset to the herd.

Grand Sire:  L.U.A. Mr. Tee, 33.25" Black
Grand Dam:  Merry-Go Round's Dunkin, 34" Gray, NLP

Black Belt is a correct beautiful donkey, with a deep rich black color and no cross or stripe. He is the full brother to Merry-Go-Round's 4 Leaf Clover. He would make a wonderful show or cart donkey. I estimate he will mature about 33". He is current on shots, and microchipped. Black Belt is for sale! Visit our 'for sale' page for an updated photo and more information.

Grand Sire:  Sunset Acres Rustico, 33" Red
Grand Dam:  Merry-Go-Round's Theodora, 34.5" Brown

Cafe is another Mr Perlino daughter I have decided to keep for future breeding. She has good conformation and carries the ivory/black and sorrel genes. Her dam, Talleuah, has a good sorrel pedigree. Cafe can go to black, ivory or sorrel and should produce some vibrant color.
