It is after much thought and with a heavy heart that I have to decided to offer for sale some of my blacks and red genetic donkeys. I need to downsize so I can focus on my black and ivory crosses and see where that will take me. Unfortunately I cannot keep all of these girls, and they might as well go to someone who can make the best of their genetics. Many of these donkeys "could" carry the ivory gene, as many go back to Dunkin and Mr Tee, who both carry a copy. But at any rate they have fabulous black genetics and the ivory would just be a bonus. The red genetic donkeys go back to some wonderful reds such as Sunset Acres and Red Baron (Valintino) lines. I am offering them at bargain prices and am willing to offer multiple purchase discounts. I am sure many of you will find something great to add to your breeding program.

Bimbee is a lovely jennet with a striking presense. She has a pretty face with large eyes,
good conformation and good bone. Her first foal was Goldilocks,
and her second foal was a black jack. She produces beautiful foals, and is an asset to my
breeding program.

Star
is the last foal for the '06 season and what a "star" she is. Her
dam, Shady, is one of three
of the DD Aces High daughters
I have. Star has a extensive black pedigree that also includes
the ivory gene. She has a cute little star on her forehead. She
looks like she will have good bone, and she is very correct. What
a great way to end a foaling season!
I do not think that Black Star is black, she looked it as a foal,
but now appears more brown, which means something is diluting the
black whether it be A or Ccr, I do not know. She measured 30 1/2
inches on her 2nd birthday. She is a nice jennet with black genetics
and possibly carrying the Ccr gene. I can not see any sign of a cross
or stripe on her. She has good conformation and will stay small.
This guy was a month overdue and was born on 6-10, about an hour after his half brother, Butters. He is a deep shiny black with no cross or stripe. There is a 50/50 chance that he inherited a copy of the ivory gene from his sire, Paso. I am so happy with Paso's offspring so far.
He is over a year old now and a rich black with good bone and a broad chest.

31 ½" Black Jack, No Cross DOB: August 16, 2005 MDR #45470
Sire: Braying
Pines B.J.'s ZZ Top, 32" Black, No Cross
Grand Sire: Braying Pines Applejack's Allegre, 30 ½" Gray-Dun
Grand Dam: Braying Pine's Jenna, 30 ¾" Gray & White Spotted
This
fine young jack is maturing into a beautiful future herdsire. He is compact, developing
substantial bone like his sire, ZZ Top. He has a great
black pedigree including Dewey Meadows, LUA and Circle C, plus some out of ZZ that is relatively
unknown. As a yearling he measures just under 30". I do not expect him to exceed 32", probably
around 31 1/2 at the most. His color is a rich, deep, vibrant black with light points. He
has no cross or stripe, and is very sweet and gentle. I look forward to his first foals
in future years.
He got his name, because his dam was due to foal on Aug 4, 05.
That day came and went, and she didn't even look close. I remembered that Carbon Black had
got in with the girls on Sept 4, 2004 (I had noted it in my book, in case of any surprises).
None of the jenny's appeared the least bit interested in him, and I put him back where he
belonged.
Well, when Daddy's dam Diva foaled almost two weeks overdue, and he
was so small (I didn't measure him, it was obvious) I began to wonder if maybe something
had went on with Diva. He was either 2 weeks late if ZZ was the sire, or 2 weeks early if
Carbon was the sire. So, I had them DNA tested. Turns out ZZ was the sire, and she carried
him 12 1/2 months. All while we waited for the test results, we kept saying "Who's Your
Daddy", hence the name.
When
this guy was born, he was quite a surprise. His dam being gray w/NLP, and his sire black,
and having had three previous FULL siblings of his. First was a black jack; then a gray
jenny, (Miss Addie); then a black jenny, (Sootie)
both of which I still own. I had never seen or heard of Blue Eyed Whites, and had no idea
his parents were carriers of the gene. He has sired many wonderful foals, many of which
were black. I have also retained many of his daughters, who are wonderful producers. He
is a black-based ivory, and as I understand it, not all ivory's are black-based. He has
excellent conformation, good bone and a wonderful temperament, which he has passed on to
his offspring, and those "baby-blue eyes" will melt your heart.
I have decided to offer Mr Perlino for sale. I rarely use him as he is the sire to many of my ivorys and ivory crosses. Here is a great opportunity to get his ivory genetics in your herd. He is 13 years old and in great shape.

Dark ivory with dark stripe and cross. Buttercup is one of my beloved ivory, blue eyed white (BEW) donkeys. She goes back to Mr. Perlino and also has Jefferson Halls and Pieratt in her pedigree. She is a nice creamy ivory with cross and stripe. Good conformation and build.
Buttercup and her black jack foal Pascal are now offered for sale. I bred her back on her foal heat to Paso Doble. Here is a great opportunity to get an ivory jennet with a black jack foal that is a definate ivory carrier. If she is bred, than there is a 50/50 chance of an ivory foal. This 3 in 1 package is priced at $3000 and if she is not in foal the price is $2500 for her and Pascal (see below).

Candy is a pretty sorrel/bay/brown.
She is small and correct. She has nice conformation and will have
medium bone. She can be taken back to both sorrel or black and
produce a spectacular foal. She is an eye catcher. This
little girl's sire, My World Tyler, is an intense dark red,
drafty jack. I believe this little gal will be a inch or so
smaller than mom at maturity.

She will be 3 in August so she is near full grown.
Here is a nice jennet with good black genetics to add to your herd.
